Springtime Project

I found this little flower pot chair at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago and I simply love it! I picked it up with a couple of matching tin buckets and decided to make some flowers to go with it. I have had these Maya Road chipboard flowers for quite awhile, and had only used a couple on layouts. For this flowerpot project I painted them with several coats of (cheap) acrylic paint, allowed them to dry and topped with Aleene's Paper Glaze for a shiny finish. The round flowers with the center cut-outs I backed with my all-time favorite Doodlebug papers that I got ages ago at Crafts Direct in St. Cloud, MN. (Why do I remember this? I have no idea.) The flower stems are green wooden sticks I got in the Floral Dept at Wal-Mart. The final touch on the flowers were some fun brads and buttons. This creation's current home is on the floor of my office at work where I get to look at it every day.
